Avenir integrated a version of the popular opensource CMS Joomla to create a workflow system allowing a team of content editors to “checkout” articles and submit them for editorial approval. Editors may select articles at any point and assign them quickly to the homepage. The web site includes a search facility, an archive facility, an RSS facility, tabbed content, a user registration facility and a related items facility. The clean minimal design reflects closely the distinctive look style of the paper itself.
